Dr Nick Enright

Dr Nick Enright is a fellowship trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon based in Melbourne. He enjoys managing glaucoma, cataract and general eye conditions including diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration and dry eye.

Dr Enright received his medical degree with Honours from The University of Sydney in 2012 and completed his ophthalmology registrar training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, where he completed his fellowship training in glaucoma. He completed a Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) at The University of Sydney in 2017 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) in 2023.

Known for his compassionate and kind patient-centred approach to care, Dr Enright takes the time to listen to his patients' concerns and works collaboratively with them to develop individualised treatment plans that meet their unique needs and goals. He is skilled in a wide range of glaucoma treatments, including medication, laser therapy, and surgical interventions such as trabeculectomy, tube shunts and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Enright is also committed to teaching and training the next generation of ophthalmologists at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He was selected as Registrar of the Court in 2022 for the RANZCO fellowship examination panel and continues to enjoy teaching junior trainees in the operating theatre and clinics. He has a friendly manner and approach with staff and patients and is diligent in collaborating closely with optometrists and GPs throughout Melbourne.
